Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Just to make sure I understand, what problem are we solving here? |
| When you say “fast”, what number do you have in mind? |
| Is this a must-have for the launch or a nice-to-have? |
Gramática · Preguntas de aclaración
Just to make sure… · When you say X, do you mean…? · So what you're saying is…
When you say real-time, do you mean seconds or minutes?
💡 Repetir con tus palabras (“So what you're saying is…”) evita la mitad de los malentendidos.
Así lo dirías
Priya: We need users to be able to export their data. Can you build that?
Tú: Sure. Just to make sure I understand: which format do they need, and who'll be using the export?
“What means export?” no es correcto. Introduce la pregunta para sonar colaborador, y usa who en lugar de “for who”.
Explicar un trade-off
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| If we went with the simpler option, we could ship next week. |
| The downside is that it won't scale beyond ten thousand users. |
| It's a trade-off between speed and flexibility. | Es un equilibrio entre velocidad y flexibilidad. |
Gramática · Segundo condicional para opciones
If we + pasado, we'd/we could + verbo
If we cached the results, the page would load in half the time.
Priya: Why can't we just build the whole dashboard this sprint?
Tú: We could, but if we tried to do everything this sprint, the quality would suffer. If we split it, we'd ship the key charts first.
Para una opción hipotética, segundo condicional: if we tried… would suffer. Proponer una alternativa (split it) ayuda.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Users must be getting confused by the new menu. |
| That can't be the reason, the bug was fixed last week. |
| It might be a seasonal drop rather than a product issue. |
Gramática · Modales de deducción
must be (seguro que sí) · might/could be (quizá) · can't be (seguro que no)
Para sacar conclusiones a partir de datos. Must es casi certeza, can't es lo contrario, might/could es una posibilidad.
Sign-ups dropped 30% overnight; something must be broken.
💡 Lo contrario de must be no es mustn't be: es can't be.
Así lo dirías
Mark: Why do you think so many users abandon the checkout?
Tú: It might be the shipping cost, but my guess is the form is too long. Users must be giving up at the address step.
Falta el sujeto: it might be. Must be + -ing para algo que está pasando. “My guess is” suaviza la opinión.
Decir que no a una idea
Rechaza una petición sin cerrar la puerta.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I see your point, but it would push the launch back two weeks. |
| What if we did a simpler version first and measured the impact? |
| I'm not against the idea; I'm just worried about the timing. |
Gramática · Desacuerdo constructivo
I see your point, but… · I'm not against… I'm just worried about… · What if we…?
I see your point, but adding it now would put the release at risk.
💡 Worried about + sustantivo o -ing: I'm worried about breaking the API.
Así lo dirías
Priya: Could we add social login before Friday's launch?
Tú: I see why it's useful, but adding it now would put Friday at risk. What if we launched without it and added it in the next release?
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| This looks great. One thing to keep in mind is the loading state. |
| How should this behave on smaller screens? | ¿Cómo debería comportarse esto en pantallas pequeñas? |
| This animation might be tricky to build in the time we have. |
Gramática · Preguntar por casos y comportamiento
How should this behave when…? · What happens if…? · One thing to keep in mind is…
How should the list behave when there are no results?
Sarah: Here's the new checkout design. Any technical concerns?
Tú: It looks great. The animation might be tricky in the time we have, and how should the form behave when a payment fails?
Aclarar, proponer opciones, deducir y negociar.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Let's agree on what done looks like before we start. |
| I'd suggest we measure it before building more. |
| That sounds like a reasonable compromise. | Me parece un término medio razonable. |
Gramática · Repaso de la unidad
When you say… do you mean · if we + pasado, we'd · must/can't be · I see your point, but
I see your point, but if we added it now, the release would slip.
💡 I'd suggest + -ing o I'd suggest (that) we + verbo: I'd suggest we start small.
Así lo dirías
Priya: Marketing wants the referral programme live in two weeks. What's your take?
Tú: I see why it's urgent, but the full programme would take about a month. If we started with a simple invite link, we could launch it in two weeks and measure the impact.
Must aquí no es deducción: di “it would take”.
