Feedback positivo concreto
Un elogio concreto vale diez genéricos.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I really liked how you handled the client's questions. |
| Your PR description made the review so much easier. |
| That refactor saved us a lot of time. | Ese refactor nos ahorró mucho tiempo. |
Gramática · Elogiar con detalle
I liked how you + pasado · Your X made Y + adjetivo · That X saved / helped…
Di qué hizo exactamente y qué impacto tuvo. Así la persona sabe qué repetir.
I liked how you split the PR; it made the review easier.
💡 “Make + objeto + adjetivo”: it made the review easier.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Give Priya some positive feedback on the launch.
Tú: Priya, I really liked how you kept everyone aligned during the launch. The checklist made it so much smoother.
Es amable, pero genérico. Di qué hizo y qué impacto tuvo.
Feedback para mejorar
Critica el trabajo, no a la persona.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| One thing that could help is sharing updates earlier. |
| I noticed the last two PRs were quite large. |
| Next time, it might be worth asking for help sooner. | La próxima vez, igual merece la pena pedir ayuda antes. |
Gramática · Feedback constructivo
I noticed (that)… · One thing that could help is + -ing · It might be worth + -ing
I noticed the tests were skipped. It might be worth adding them next time.
💡 Habla del comportamiento, no de la persona: “the PRs were large”, no “you're messy”.
Así lo dirías
Leo: Be honest. How could my last PR have been better?
Tú: I noticed it was quite large, so it was hard to review in one go. Next time, it might be worth splitting it into smaller PRs.
“You must” suena a orden. Describe el hecho y sugiere con “it might be worth”.
Lo que se pudo hacer mejor
Hablar del pasado para mejorar el futuro.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| We should have tested it on staging first. | Deberíamos haberlo probado primero en staging. |
| I could have asked for help earlier. | Podría haber pedido ayuda antes. |
| It would have been easier with a feature flag. |
Gramática · Modales en pasado
should / could / would have + participio
Should have: lo correcto habría sido. Could have: era posible y no se hizo. Would have: resultado hipotético.
We should have communicated the change earlier.
Deberíamos haber comunicado el cambio antes.
💡 En la conversación se contrae: should've, could've. Nunca “should of”.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Looking back at the launch, what would you change?
Tú: We should have tested more beforehand, and we could have told users earlier.
Para el pasado: should have + participio, could have + participio.
Recibir feedback
Escucha, pregunta y no te justifiques de entrada.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Thanks, that's fair. | Gracias, es justo. |
| Could you give me an example? | ¿Me podrías dar un ejemplo? |
| I hadn't thought about it that way. | No lo había pensado así. |
Gramática · Recibir feedback
Thanks, that's fair · Could you give me an example? · I hadn't thought about it
Agradece, pide detalles si hace falta y comprométete a algo concreto. Las explicaciones, después.
That's fair. Could you give me an example so I know what to change?
💡 I hadn't thought about it = no lo había pensado (past perfect: antes de ese momento).
Así lo dirías
Mark: I think you could involve the juniors more in your work. What do you think?
Tú: That's fair. I hadn't thought about it that way. Maybe I could pair with one of them each week.
Justificarse de entrada suena defensivo. Agradece, reconoce y propón algo concreto.
Deseos y arrepentimientos
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I wish we had more time for tech debt. |
| I wish I'd known about this tool earlier. | Ojalá hubiera conocido esta herramienta antes. |
| If only the tests were faster. |
Gramática · Wish
I wish + pasado (presente) · I wish + had + participio (pasado)
I wish we had more reviewers. I wish I'd asked sooner.
Ojalá tuviéramos más revisores. Ojalá hubiera preguntado antes.
💡 Con be, en registro cuidado: I wish it were simpler.
Así lo dirías
Leo: If you could change one thing about our process, what would it be?
Tú: I wish we had fewer meetings and more time to code.
Wish + pasado: had. Con contables, fewer (no less). Y “time to code”, sin for.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| What went well was the communication with design. |
| What didn't go so well was the testing. |
| Going forward, let's timebox the spikes. |
Gramática · Estructura de una retro
What went well… · What didn't go so well… · Going forward, let's…
What went well was pairing. Going forward, let's pair on every big ticket.
Sarah: Give us your retro: one good thing, one bad thing and one action.
Tú: What went well was the pairing. What didn't go so well was that testing started late. Going forward, let's write the tests alongside the code.
Las fórmulas “what went well / what didn't go so well / going forward” estructuran la retro. Y “tests” es plural: were.
