Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I worked on the API all morning. | Trabajé en la API toda la mañana. |
| We tested the new feature yesterday. | Probamos la nueva feature ayer. |
| She updated the documentation. | Ella actualizó la documentación. |
Gramática · Pasado simple regular
verbo + -ed (igual para todas las personas)
En pasado, el verbo es igual para I, you, he, she, we y they. Solo añade -ed.
Yesterday I fixed two bugs and tried a new library.
Ayer arreglé dos bugs y probé una librería nueva.
💡 Si termina en e, solo -d (update → updated). Consonante + y → -ied (try → tried).
Así lo dirías
Sarah: What did you work on last week?
Tú: Last week I worked on the reports and tested the export.
Last week es pasado: worked, tested.
Verbos irregulares
Pocos, pero salen en todas las conversaciones.

| I went to the office on Tuesday. | Fui a la oficina el martes. |

Gramática · Irregulares frecuentes
go → went · have → had · get → got · make → made · write → wrote · find → found
Estos verbos no usan -ed: hay que aprenderlos. Igual que los regulares, no cambian según la persona.
I wrote the script and found the problem.
Escribí el script y encontré el problema.
💡 Get tiene muchos significados: get an email = recibir; get there = llegar.
Así lo dirías
Priya: How was your last team offsite?
Tú: It was great! We went to the mountains and did a hackathon.
Go → went. Y con hackathon se usa do: did a hackathon.

¿Pasaste los tests? No, no tuve tiempo.
💡 Did you went? ✕ → Did you go? ✓
Así lo dirías
Leo: Did you finish the migration on Friday?
Tú: No, I didn't finish it. I didn't have time.
Después de didn't, verbo base: finish, have.

cantidad + ago · last + week / month / Friday · yesterday
Ago va detrás: two days ago. Last va delante y sin the: last Monday, last year.

💡 Nada de “before two days” ni “the last week” para “la semana pasada”.

Tú: Last month. I went to Portugal three weeks ago.
Last month, sin the. Y “hace tres semanas” = three weeks ago.

💡 In the end = al final (resultado). At the end of = al final de (lugar o momento).
Así lo dirías

Tú: First I looked at the logs. Then I saw the error, and in the end I fixed it.
