Frases clave

InglésEspañol
Hi Sarah, I hope you're well.Hola Sarah, espero que estés bien.
Thanks for your quick reply.Gracias por tu respuesta rápida.
Best regards, Ana.Un saludo, Ana.

Gramática · Saludos y despedidas

Hi + nombre · Thanks for + nombre / -ing · Best / Best regards

Hi Leo, thanks for sending the logs.

Hola Leo, gracias por enviar los logs.

💡 Thanks for + -ing: thanks for sending the report.

Así lo dirías

Priya: Dictate a short email thanking me for the meeting notes.

Tú: Hi Priya, thanks for sending the meeting notes. Best, Ana.

Thanks for + -ing (sending).

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
I'd like to book a meeting room for Thursday.
Could you send me the invoice, please?¿Me podrías enviar la factura, por favor?
Would you like to join the call?¿Te gustaría unirte a la llamada?

Gramática · Peticiones y ofrecimientos

I'd like + to + verbo · Could you + verbo? · Would you like + to + verbo?

I'd like es más educado que I want. Could you sirve para pedir; Would you like, para ofrecer.

Could you check the access, please? I'd like to start today.

¿Podrías revisar el acceso, por favor? Me gustaría empezar hoy.

💡 Would you like…? es ofrecer. Do you like…? es preguntar si algo te gusta.

Así lo dirías

Leo: You need a new laptop charger. Ask IT for one.

Tú: Hi! I'd like to request a new laptop charger. Could you send me one, please?

“I want” y “give me” suenan bruscos. I'd like to + Could you…? es lo natural.

Frases clave

InglésEspañol

Please + verbo · Let me know + if / when · Don't forget to + verbo

Please review it and let me know what you think.

Por favor, revísalo y dime qué te parece.

💡 Don't forget + to + verbo: don't forget to save.

Así lo dirías

Sarah: Ask the team to fill in the survey by Friday.

Tú: Hi team! Please fill in the survey by Friday. Let me know if you have any questions.

“Please + verbo” suena más amable que “you have to”. Y don't forget va con to.

💡 Orden: send it to me (no “send me it” en registro cuidado).

El orden es verbo + it + to + persona: send it to him.

💡 Va por sonido: an hour, an API, a user (suena “iu”).

Así lo dirías

Leo: Tell me what you found in the logs.

Tú: I found an error in the logs. It's in the payments API.

An error (primera mención). The logs, the payments API: ya sabemos cuáles.

I'm writing about the new project. Could you send me the brief?

Te escribo por el proyecto nuevo. ¿Me podrías enviar el brief?

💡 I'm writing about / to ask about… es la forma estándar de explicar el motivo.

Así lo dirías

Mark: Dictate an email asking me for a day off next Friday.

Tú: Hi Mark, I'm writing to ask about next Friday. Could I take the day off? Thanks, Ana

“I'm writing to ask about…” y “Could I take the day off?” son las fórmulas naturales.
