Frases clave

InglésEspañol
It's your on-call load that this would reduce the most.
What we both want is fewer surprises in production.
It was the support team who first spotted the pattern.

It is/was + X + that/who… · What + sujeto + verbo + is…

It's the manual deploys that cost us the most time.

💡 Con personas se puede usar who o that: It was Leo who/that found it.

Así lo dirías

Mark: You want the data team to adopt your new schema registry. Pitch it from their point of view.

Tú: What I think you'd get out of it is far fewer broken pipelines. It's the schema changes from upstream teams that cause most of your incidents, and the registry would catch them before they reach you.

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
I do understand your concerns about the timeline.
It does make a difference; the numbers show it.Sí que marca la diferencia; los números lo demuestran.
We did test it, just not under peak load.Sí que lo probamos, solo que no con carga máxima.

Gramática · Do enfático

do / does / did + verbo base (en afirmativa)

I know it sounds expensive, but it does pay for itself in six months.

💡 Se acentúa al hablar: I DO understand. Úsalo para contrastar, no en cada frase.

Así lo dirías

Sarah: A senior engineer says your proposal 'won't make any real difference'. Reply.

Tú: I do understand the scepticism. It does make a measurable difference, though: in staging, error rates dropped by half. Happy to walk you through the data.

“You are wrong” enfrenta. El do enfático (I do understand, it does make) defiende tu postura con calma y datos.

Construir alianzas

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
I got the security team to review the proposal early.
We had two senior engineers try it on their projects first.
Having data from a pilot made the conversation much easier.

get + persona + to + verbo (convencer) · have + persona + verbo (encargar) · make + persona + verbo (obligar)

Get someone to do implica persuasión; have someone do, encargar algo; make someone do, obligar.

I finally got the mobile team to adopt the shared component library.

💡 Make suena a imposición: “I made them use it” puede sonar mal en un contexto de colaboración.

Así lo dirías

Priya: Tell me about a time you changed how other teams worked without having authority over them.

Tú: I wanted teams to write contract tests. Rather than making it a rule, I got one respected team to try it first, and once their incidents dropped, the others asked to join.

“I wanted that…” no es correcto: want + persona + to. Got + persona + to cuenta la persuasión; make suena a imposición.

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
Would it help if we ran a short pilot with your team?¿Ayudaría si hiciéramos un piloto corto con tu equipo?
It might be worth looking at how team B solved this.
I'm curious what you'd need to feel comfortable with this.

Would it help if we + pasado? · It might be worth + -ing · I'm curious what/how…

It might be worth comparing both approaches on real traffic.

💡 It's worth / it might be worth + -ing: it might be worth testing it first.

Así lo dirías

Sarah: The head of QA doesn't like your idea of shifting testing to developers. Open the conversation.

Tú: I'm curious what your main concerns would be. Would it help if we tried it with one team for a sprint, with QA reviewing the results? It might be worth seeing the data before deciding.

“You must accept” cierra la conversación.

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
Let me tell you what happened to the checkout team last spring.
Before the change, every release took a full afternoon.
Within a month, they were shipping several times a day.

Before…, we used to… · Then… · Within a month,… · Since then,…

Before the cache, the page used to take five seconds; within a week, it was under one.

Mark: Persuade the leadership team to invest in automated testing using a real example.

Tú: Last spring, the checkout team used to spend two days testing every release by hand. They automated their main flows, and within a month they were releasing daily. Since then, checkout bugs have dropped by sixty percent.

“Testing is important” no convence. Una historia con antes (used to), cambio y resultado (since then) es mucho más persuasiva.

Repaso: influir

Interés común, énfasis, alianzas, propuestas e historias.

Frases clave

InglésEspañol
I'd love your input before I take this any further.
Let's make it easy for teams to say yes.
People support what they help create.

It's X that… · What we need is… · I do understand · get + persona + to · would it help if · used to / within

What convinced them was the pilot; it was the data that did the talking.

💡 Pide opinión pronto: “I'd love your input” convierte a un posible opositor en coautor.

Así lo dirías

Sarah: You want the whole company to adopt your API style guide. How would you go about it?

Tú: Rather than mandating it, I'd get a couple of respected teams to use it first and share their results. What usually convinces people is seeing fewer integration bugs, and I'd ask for input early so it feels like everyone's guide.

Imponer (“obligatory”) suele generar rechazo. Get + persona + to, una frase hendida y pedir opinión describen cómo se influye de verdad.
