Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I'm working on the login page. | Estoy trabajando en la página de login. |
| Yesterday I fixed a bug in the checkout. | Ayer arreglé un bug en el checkout. |
| I'm blocked on the API keys. |
Gramática · Presente continuo
am / is / are + -ing
I'm working on the login page.
Sarah: What are you working on today?
Tú: Today I'm working on the auth ticket and the login bug.
Falta el verbo to be (I'm working) y es “work on”, no “work in”.
Hablar de lo que hiciste ayer
La primera pregunta de cada daily. Tres frases en pasado.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Yesterday I fixed the flaky test. | Ayer arreglé el test inestable. |
| I reviewed Leo's PR. | Revisé el PR de Leo. |
| I didn't finish the migration. | No terminé la migración. |
Yesterday I fixed the cache bug.
Ayer arreglé el bug de la caché.
💡 Ojo con los irregulares: write → wrote, find → found, break → broke.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: What did you do yesterday?
Tú: Yesterday I reviewed two PRs and fixed the flaky test.
Ayer es pasado: reviewed y fixed. Y no hace falta repetir el “I”.
Pedir ayuda sin rodeos
Directas, educadas y sin pedir perdón cinco veces.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Can you take a look at this? | ¿Puedes echarle un vistazo? |
| Could you pair with me for ten minutes? | ¿Podrías hacer pair conmigo diez minutos? |
| Do you have a minute? | ¿Tienes un minuto? |
Gramática · Can / could
can / could + verbo base
“Can” es directo; “could” suena más educado.
Could you review my PR today?
¿Podrías revisar mi PR hoy?
💡 Nada de “Can you to review…”. El verbo va solo.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: You look stuck. What's up?
Tú: Could you help me with the tests? They're failing.
“Could” suena más educado, y va sin “to”. Separa las dos ideas con un punto.
Dar estimaciones
Estimar sin comprometerte de más.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| It'll take about two days. | Llevará unos dos días. |
| I'm going to start with the API. | Voy a empezar por la API. |
| It should be ready by Friday. | Debería estar listo para el viernes. |
Gramática · Futuro: will / going to
will + verbo · be going to + verbo
“Going to” para lo que ya has decidido hacer. “Will” para predicciones y estimaciones.
It'll take about two days.
Llevará unos dos días.
💡 “Should” suaviza la promesa: “It should be ready by Friday.”
Así lo dirías
Priya: When do you think the export will be ready?
Tú: I think it'll be ready by Friday.
Es una estimación: “it'll be”. Y para una fecha límite, “by Friday”.
Explicar qué pasó
Qué estabas haciendo cuando falló. El tiempo verbal de los bugs.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I was deploying when the server went down. | Estaba desplegando cuando se cayó el servidor. |
| We were testing the new release. | Estábamos probando la nueva release. |
| What were you doing when it failed? | ¿Qué estabas haciendo cuando falló? |
Gramática · Pasado continuo
was / were + -ing
I was debugging when the build failed.
Estaba depurando cuando falló la build.
💡 Estructura típica: I was + -ing when + pasado simple.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: So what exactly happened last night?
Tú: I was deploying the new version when payments started failing.
Pasado continuo: was deploying. Y para unir las dos acciones, “when”.
Tu primera daily completa
Ayer, hoy y bloqueos. En ese orden.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Yesterday I finished the login page. | Ayer terminé la página de login. |
| Today I'm working on the tests. | Hoy estoy con los tests. |
| No blockers for now. | Sin bloqueos por ahora. |
Gramática · Las tres partes de la daily
ayer → pasado · hoy → -ing · bloqueos
Ayer va en pasado simple, hoy en presente continuo y los bloqueos con “I'm blocked on” o “No blockers”.
Yesterday I finished X. Today I'm working on Y.
Ayer terminé X. Hoy estoy con Y.
💡 Menos de 30 segundos. Nadie quiere una daily de cinco minutos.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Okay, your turn. Quick update?
Tú: Yesterday I finished the login page. Today I'm working on the tests. No blockers.
Casi perfecta. Solo falta el pasado: “finished”.
