Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Today I'm going to show you the new checkout. | Hoy os voy a enseñar el nuevo checkout. |
| It'll only take five minutes. | Solo serán cinco minutos. |
| Feel free to stop me if you have questions. | Paradme si tenéis preguntas. |
Gramática · Anunciar lo que vas a hacer
I'm going to + verbo · I'll + verbo
I'm going to show you two flows, and then I'll take questions.
💡 “Feel free to…” invita sin presionar: feel free to ask, feel free to interrupt.
Así lo dirías
Mark: The floor is yours. How do you want to start?
Tú: Hi everyone! Today I'm going to show you the new dashboard. It's much faster.
Es “I'm going to show”, no “I go to show”. Y “show you” es más natural.
Guiar al público
Que nadie se pierda mientras haces clic.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Let me show you how it works. | Dejadme que os enseñe cómo funciona. |
| As you can see, the list updates instantly. |
| Moving on to the next part. | Pasamos a la siguiente parte. |
Gramática · Señalizar la demo
Let me + verbo · As you can see · Moving on to · Finally
Let me zoom in. As you can see, the error is gone.
Dejadme que haga zoom. Como veis, el error ha desaparecido.
💡 Let me + verbo base (sin to): Let me show you, let me zoom in.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Okay, we see the homepage. What's next?
Tú: Moving on to the settings. As you can see, the new options are here.
Se entiende, pero “Moving on to…” y “As you can see…” guían mejor al público.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| The new version is twice as fast. |
| It's much easier to use than before. |
| Load time went down from four seconds to one. |
Gramática · Comparativos
corto + -er than · more + largo + than · much / a bit + comparativo
Adjetivos cortos con -er (faster, cheaper); largos con more (more reliable). Much y a bit intensifican o suavizan.
It's much faster and more reliable than the old one.
💡 Irregulares: good → better, bad → worse. Y “twice as fast as” para “el doble de rápido”.
Así lo dirías
Priya: What's the main improvement in this release?
Tú: The page is much faster and easier for users.
Fast y easy son cortos: faster, easier (no more fast, more easy).
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| The data is stored in a separate database. |
| Every request is logged automatically. | Cada petición se registra automáticamente. |
| The emails are sent in the background. | Los emails se envían en segundo plano. |
Gramática · Pasiva en presente
is / are + participio
The images are resized before they are uploaded.
Las imágenes se redimensionan antes de subirse.
💡 “Se guarda” = is stored. “Se envían” = are sent.
Así lo dirías
Mark: How does the sync work behind the scenes?
Tú: The changes are saved in a queue and then sent to the server.
Para procesos, pasiva: are saved, (are) sent. Y “then” para el siguiente paso.
Responder preguntas
Incluida la que no sabes responder.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| That's a great question. | Muy buena pregunta. |
| I'm not sure, but I'll find out and let you know. |
| Does that answer your question? | ¿Responde eso a tu pregunta? |
Gramática · Ganar tiempo y no inventar
That's a good question · I'll find out · Does that answer your question?
Si no sabes la respuesta, dilo y comprométete a averiguarla. Inventar en una demo sale caro.
I don't know off the top of my head, but I'll find out.
💡 “Find out” = averiguar un dato. “Let you know” = avisarte.
Así lo dirías
Priya: How many users can the new system handle?
Tú: Good question. I don't know the exact number off the top of my head, but I'll find out and let you know.
“I will search it” no es natural: find out. Y es mejor no adivinar (“I think many”).
Una demo completa
Abrir, guiar, comparar, explicar y cerrar.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| To sum up, the checkout is now faster and simpler. |
| Next sprint, we're going to add Apple Pay. | El próximo sprint vamos a añadir Apple Pay. |
| Thanks for your time, any questions? | Gracias por vuestro tiempo, ¿alguna pregunta? |
Gramática · Cerrar una demo
To sum up · Next sprint, we're going to · Any questions?
To sum up, it's faster and it is tested end to end.
💡 “To sum up” o “In short” para resumir. Evita “In conclusion”, suena a redacción escolar.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: You have one minute. Give us the summary of your demo.
Tú: To sum up, search is much faster now, and next sprint we're going to add filters.
Faster, no “more fast”. Para planes ya decididos: we're going to add.
