Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Let's get started, we've got a lot to cover. | Empecemos, tenemos mucho que tratar. |
| The goal of today's meeting is to agree on the roadmap. |
| We'll aim to finish five minutes early. | Intentaremos terminar cinco minutos antes. |
Gramática · Abrir una reunión
Let's get started · The goal is to + verbo · We've got X items to cover
Let's get started. The goal today is to decide on the vendor.
Empecemos. El objetivo hoy es decidir el proveedor.
💡 Cover = tratar, abarcar (temas en una reunión).
Así lo dirías
Priya: You're running the planning meeting. Open it.
Tú: Let's get started. The goal today is to agree on the Q3 roadmap. We've got three items to cover, and we'll aim to finish a bit early.
“Many things” es vago.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Let's park that and come back to it later. | Aparquemos eso y volvamos luego. |
| Could we take this offline? | ¿Podemos hablarlo fuera de la reunión? |
| To bring us back to the agenda, we still need to decide on the date. |
Gramática · Reconducir
Let's park that · take it offline · bring us back to · come back to
Good point, let's park it. To bring us back to the release…
Buen punto, aparquémoslo. Para volver a la release…
💡 Take it offline = hablarlo aparte, solo con quien haga falta.
Así lo dirías
Leo: Leo keeps talking about tabs vs spaces. Redirect the meeting.
Tú: Interesting point, Leo. Could we take that offline? I want to make sure we decide on the release date today.
“This is not important” suena brusco.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Sorry to interrupt, but I think we're running out of time. |
| Priya, we haven't heard from you yet. What do you think? | Priya, todavía no te hemos oído. ¿Qué opinas? |
| Can I just jump in here? | ¿Puedo meter baza un momento? |
Gramática · Turnos de palabra
Sorry to interrupt, but… · Can I just jump in? · We haven't heard from…
Sorry to interrupt, but we haven't heard from the mobile team yet.
💡 Just suaviza mucho: Can I just add one thing?
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Leo hasn't said a word all meeting. Bring him in.
Tú: Leo, we haven't heard from you yet. What's your take on this?
“We haven't heard from you” invita sin presionar.
Preguntas indirectas
Preguntas que no suenan a interrogatorio.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Could you explain what led to that decision? | ¿Podrías explicar qué llevó a esa decisión? |
| I was wondering whether we could revisit the timeline. | Me preguntaba si podríamos revisar el calendario. |
| Would you mind sharing the numbers with the group? |
Gramática · Preguntas suaves
I was wondering whether / if… · Would you mind + -ing? · Could you explain what / why…
I was wondering whether we could move the demo to Thursday.
💡 Would you mind…? se responde “No, not at all” si aceptas (no te importa).
Así lo dirías
Mark: You disagree with the VP's decision to cut the QA team. Ask about it in the meeting.
Tú: Could you explain what led to the decision about QA? I was wondering how we'll keep quality up with fewer testers.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Let me recap what we've agreed. | Déjame resumir lo que hemos acordado. |
| Could you take the lead on the vendor evaluation? | ¿Podrías liderar la evaluación de proveedores? |
| I'll send out the notes after the call. | Enviaré las notas después de la llamada. |
Gramática · Cerrar una reunión
Let me recap · take the lead on · send out · by + fecha
To recap: Leo takes the lead on the API, by Friday.
Take the lead on = encargarse de liderar algo.
Así lo dirías
Priya: Close the meeting with the action items.
Tú: Let me recap: Leo takes the lead on the API by Friday, and Sarah owns the test plan by Wednesday. I'll send out the notes after the call.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Thanks everyone, that was really productive. | Gracias a todos, ha sido muy productivo. |
| We didn't get to the last item, so let's add it to Thursday. |
| Does anyone have anything else before we wrap up? | ¿Alguien tiene algo más antes de cerrar? |
Gramática · La reunión completa
open → keep on track → bring people in → recap → close
We didn't get to the budget, so let's cover it on Thursday.
💡 Get to + tema = llegar a tratarlo.
Así lo dirías
Mark: Run the last two minutes of the meeting.
Tú: Let me recap: Leo takes the lead on the API by Friday. We didn't get to the budget, so let's cover it on Thursday. Anything else before we wrap up?
“Responsible for”, no “of”.
