Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Quick question: where is the staging config? |
| No rush, whenever you have a moment. | Sin prisa, cuando tengas un momento. |
| Do you know who owns the billing service? | ¿Sabes quién lleva el servicio de facturación? |
Gramática · Preguntas indirectas sencillas
Do you know + who / where / if + sujeto + verbo
Suenan más suaves que una pregunta directa. Después de “Do you know”, el orden vuelve a ser el de una afirmación.
Do you know where the logs are?
¿Sabes dónde están los logs?
💡 Directa: Where is the config? Indirecta: Do you know where the config is?
Así lo dirías
Leo: You wanted to ask me something?
Tú: Yes, do you know where the migration script is?
En una pregunta indirecta, sujeto + verbo: where the script is.
Just, already, yet
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I've just pushed the fix. | Acabo de subir el arreglo. |
| Has anyone reviewed it yet? | ¿Lo ha revisado alguien ya? |
| We haven't released it yet. | Todavía no lo hemos publicado. |
Gramática · Just, already y yet
have just / have already + participio · haven't … yet · Have you … yet?
Just = acabo de.
I've already merged it, but we haven't deployed it yet.
Priya: Where are we with the new onboarding emails?
Tú: I've already finished the templates, but we haven't sent them yet.
Con already y yet, present perfect: I've finished, we haven't sent.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Any update on the payment issue? | ¿Alguna novedad sobre el problema de pagos? |
| Just checking in on the API keys. |
| It's still in progress, almost done. | Sigue en curso, casi está. |
Gramática · Seguimiento educado
Any update on…? · Just checking in on… · Where are we with…?
Any update on the export? Just checking in.
¿Alguna novedad sobre la exportación? Solo por saber cómo va.
💡 “Just checking in” suaviza mucho: suena a interés, no a presión.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Any update on the search feature?
Tú: It's still in progress. I think I'll finish it tomorrow.
“Still” va antes de in progress. Y para una previsión, will: I'll finish.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| I'll look into it this afternoon. | Lo miro esta tarde. |
| I'll get back to you by tomorrow. | Te digo algo como muy tarde mañana. |
| Let's catch up after lunch. | Hablamos después de comer. |
Gramática · Phrasal verbs del día a día
look into · get back to · catch up · set up · figure out
Verbo + partícula con un significado propio: look into = investigar, figure out = averiguar, set up = configurar.
I'll figure it out and get back to you.
Lo averiguo y te digo.
💡 Con pronombre va en medio si el verbo es separable: set it up, figure it out.
Así lo dirías
Leo: Can you check why the cron job didn't run?
Tú: Sure, I'll look into it and get back to you later.
“Look into it” (investigar) y “get back to you” (responderte) son las expresiones naturales.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| FYI, the release is moving to Thursday. |
| Can you PTAL before EOD? |
| I'm WFH tomorrow, but online as usual. | Mañana teletrabajo, pero conectado como siempre. |
Gramática · Abreviaturas de trabajo
FYI · ASAP · EOD · PTAL · WFH · OOO · TL;DR
For your information, as soon as possible, end of day, please take a look, working from home, out of office y too long; didn't read (resumen).
TL;DR: the bug is fixed, PTAL at the PR.
Si no es urgente de verdad, mejor “when you can”.
Así lo dirías
Sarah: Can you post an update in the channel about the delay?
Tú: FYI everyone, the release has been moved to Thursday.
En Slack basta con “FYI”. Y es “moved to Thursday”, no “delayed for”.
Frases clave
| Inglés | Español |
|---|---|
| Context: users can't reset their password. |
| Could you confirm by Friday? | ¿Podrías confirmarlo antes del viernes? |
| Happy to jump on a call if it's easier. | Si es más fácil, hacemos una llamada. |
Context: the build is slow. Could you check the cache by Friday?
Contexto: la build va lenta. ¿Podrías revisar la caché antes del viernes?
💡 “Happy to…” es una forma amable de ofrecerte: Happy to help, happy to pair.
Así lo dirías
Priya: Can you write a message asking design for the new icons?
Tú: Hi team! Context: we're launching the new settings page on Monday. Could you share the icons by Friday? Happy to jump on a call if anything's unclear.
Se entiende, pero falta contexto y plazo. Con ellos, nadie necesita preguntarte nada más.
